Entangled Body Infrastructures

with Julia Preiß & Timon Bohn

Entangled Body Infrastructures is a performative enactment of media infrastructures and its entanglement with the human body. Media infrastructures, among other things, consist of its physical components and the data being distributed, in which matter only exists or has the function of guiding the data, whereby the data can only exist on the basis of matter.
In this performance, the human body serves as a redirection of the natural flow of data by getting interconnected into an infrastructural construct. The body is placed or used as a fragment of this material data flow. It not only becomes a cruel component of the materiality, but has an impact on the data being distributed.
